Changelog

Everything new in CyanView Studio, release by release.

  1. v0.2.1

    Latest

Studio - Copy nodes with Cmd+C. Paste them with Cmd+V into the selected edge or after the selected node. - Pasted nodes stay as copies. They do not fork the source chain. - Use Alt+L to show the Look panel. Use Alt+F to show the FX panel. - The Fit button arranges the node graph in rows that fit the frame. - The shadow and highlight tools in Primaries use Rec.709 IRE in all working spaces. - The OFX panel has a Headroom section. It shows a chart of the FXVP engine statistics over time. - You can export the FXVP engine statistics history to a CSV file in the LUT export folder. - FXVP engine update: stats history, audio passthrough and stream ingest. - When you start Studio, it opens the last feed that you used. - The white balance knobs send the correct parameter names. - The Studio views use the design system type and tokens. - The FXVP client does not show the access token in logs. - The New Flow command is removed because it had no function. Dashboard - The LUT picker shows the LUTs that are stored in the camera. - The LUT upload stays stable when camera values change. - The Gamma and Black Gamma cards use the shared reset button. - The modal header keeps space for the close button. - The top border of the active camera shows correctly. - The Dashboard views and shared components use the new design system - A new reference page at /dev/design shows the design system.

  11. v0.1.42

0.1.42 Studio: timeline - Imported video clips keep their real length. The 10 s placeholder is replaced by the browser-decoded duration, and ffprobe is used as a fallback when available. - When a clip's real length lands, later clips in the row shift to keep their spacing, and trim points past the new end are dropped. - Duration reports are only sent for clips still on the active row, and malformed timeline hook params are ignored instead of crashing the panel. Studio: grading - Primaries node gains contrast and pivot beside saturation and hue. - Primaries white balance base comes from the linked camera's reported kelvin. - Typed primaries slider values are clamped and malformed input is ignored. - Grading panel gets bottom padding so the last control scrolls clear of the rail. - Negative zero is folded in the RCP primaries echo. Studio: LUT pipeline and fade - LUT fade settings move from per-feed fields to a studio-wide fade modal. - LUT pushes whose changed node types are all marked straight now snap instead of fading. - Remote receiver LUT selects apply to global receiver nodes on feeds that are not open. - BoxIO and FS-HDR LUT bodies are resampled and packed in the NIF instead of Elixir. - Feed tiles use an arrows icon with a state dot for fade and a cube icon for LUT box feeds. Studio: preview and scopes - Scopes pop-out reads the GPU scope texture directly instead of a canvas readback. - Streamed Lut3D nodes are bypassed when rendering the OFX still preview. Studio: colour science - Apple Log 2 uses the Apple Wide Gamut primaries instead of Rec.2020. - S-Log2 and Canon Log v1 are evaluated on the legal-range signal with the reflectance factor. Dashboard - Contrast card reworked as pivot, with adjust rows gated by the camera capability bits. - Negative zero tokens are folded in MQTT status payloads. Internal - Colour parity suite: OCIO, colour-science, and grading-operator checks, a run-all script, Apple Log 2 checked against the OCIO 2.6 builtin, and documented coverage. - Opt-in LUT pipeline bench test. - Boot-time desktop worker task stays out of the test sandbox.

  12. v0.1.41

Studio: - Fixed LUT fades when switching receiver LUTs or chain entries - Fixed fade settings not applying until reload - Fixed a crash in "Apply fade to all" - ColorBoxes reconnect more reliably, and "Reconnect all" skips connected boxes - Fixed saved receiver LUTs disappearing when edited from several windows - The receiver panel updates live

  13. v0.1.40

Studio - LUT fade "Apply to all": a button in a feed's settings copies its LUT fade setting (on/off, steps, duration) to every feed in the project. - Fade toggle: only the checkbox and its "LUT fade" text turn fade on or off now. Clicking elsewhere on the row no longer does. - Receiver saved LUTs can be reordered: use the up and down buttons. A LUT's number for OSC /receiver and the API moves with it. - Confirm before switching a receiver's saved LUT: choosing a saved LUT now asks "Switch to …?" first, and Escape cancels. Choosing the live LUT still switches right away. - "Reconnect all" in the devices modal: reconnects every enabled device that isn't connected. - AJA ColorBox retries on its own: if a box isn't reachable when the app starts, the app keeps retrying, waiting up to 30 seconds between tries, instead of giving up.

  14. v0.1.38

Studio - SDI output wire mode: a new per-feed dropdown sets the output format, or leaves it on Auto. - Smoother 1080p50/60 SDI output: Auto now sends 1080i (for example 60p goes out as 60i) with no dropped frames, so it plays cleanly on receivers that can't take 3G. - Output diagnostics: the output stats now show the actual wire format, the input format and any dropped frames. - AJA ColorBox keeps its LUT: after a restart or power cycle the box comes back with the last grade instead of an empty LUT. - More reliable ColorBox LUT loading: the first LUT after startup is no longer lost.

  15. v0.1.37

Studio: - Fix for cold start

  16. v0.1.35

Studio - Remote grade switching over OSC and HTTP API: bind a grade to a feed by id or name, device re-looks immediately - Remote LUT chain toggle over OSC and HTTP API: enable or disable one LUT in a feed's LUT chain by position - OSC address reference added to the API docs page; OSC receiver is now always on - New LUT chain node type: stack several .cube files in one node with per-entry enable, reorder and remove - Hue control added to the primaries node, driven from the RCP - Multimatrix from the RCP mapped onto the primaries node - LUT receiver cache: received LUTs survive a restart, with a reset button to forget them - Fix: moving a multi-node selection now repositions all nodes correctly - Backend process output written to a log file, previous run kept, startup failures reported - Windows: packet logger writes under the app data logs directory instead of /tmp

  17. v0.1.36

Studio: - Fix deckling output sync

  18. v0.1.34

Dashboard - Known RCPs and RIOs reconnect automatically when discovery sees them again after the MQTT worker gave up retrying. - Welcome screen no longer locks unlicensed users out when Studio was the remembered startup workspace. - Settings menu can reset the remembered startup workspace. Studio - Settings modal can reset the remembered startup workspace. - RCP status echo is now a fire-and-forget cast, so it never stalls the preview LUT push.

  19. v0.1.33

Studio - Effects follow the feed and keep their values. The FX panel now shows the chain of whichever feed is open, and each grade restores its plugins with the parameter values you set. Applying a Power Grade replaces the effect chain fully, including parameters the preset leaves at default. - Feed reordering. Drag the handle or use the arrow keys in the feeds modal to change feed order. The strip, timeline, and modals all use the same order. - Set active camera on feed open. A new "Set cam" toggle makes opening a feed set its camera as the RCP's active camera, the mirror of follow-camera. - One DeckLink device shared across feeds. Feeds that name the same capture device share it, and the open feed owns it. This makes a video hub in front of one capture card work with follow-camera. - Interlaced and PSF inputs keep their mode. Such an input is output in its own mode instead of a progressive wrapper that combed on moving edges. - Smoother preview while grading. Grade thumbnails are captured once a burst of edits goes quiet instead of on every save, so encoder steps from the RCP no longer stall the live preview. - Drop zones work again. The DCTL and 3D LUT drop zones open a file picker and accept dropped files in the desktop webview. - Faster dev builds. DeckLink output buffers are sized without a per-byte loop, and a hardware-free chain throughput probe was added for profiling. - Preview panel visibility is read from the already loaded settings rather than queried per component. Dashboard - Broker cleanup in discovery. Deleting a broker removes its cameras from the discovered list, and cameras from a broker whose connection is down are dropped until it reconnects. - Film simulation controls tolerate an unexpected value shape from the camera instead of failing to update.

  20. v0.1.32

Studio - fix for 3D lut cyanview OFX plugin - fix for full screen toggle on second screen

  21. v0.1.31

Studio Effects follow your grade - OFX effects are now part of the graph. Switch a feed to another grade and its effects come with it. Change scenes and every feed's effects change together. - Save a grade as a Power Grade and its effects are saved too. Apply a Power Grade and you get its effects back. New glt Power Grade's effects. - Duplicate a grade and the copy keep - The effects panel now tells you when there is no grade open to save into. Smoother color wheels - Dragging the ball on a color wheel slider: your pointer is captured, so you can keep moving past the edge of the wheel without losing the drag. Hold Shift for fine adjustmene as sliders. - Click anywhere on the wheel to start dragging. The ball no longer jumps to where you clicked. DeckLink - A DeckLink input that is already at the expected format now reports its frame rate right away instead of waiting for a - The display refresh match applies immediately every time you ask for it. - Output latency can be adjusted whil one frame per step, without a restart. Licensing and FXVP nodes - The license page shows how many FXVs. - The FXVP device form explains where to find the auth token on the node. - The license server now sees which a running.

  22. v0.1.30

Studio: Preview - The live preview is smoother, especially 23.98 on a 60 Hz screen. Short UI freezes are less likely to skip frames. - New checkbox: Match display refresh. When on, Studio switches that screen to a rate that fits the feed (for example 47.95 Hz for 23.98). It restores the old rate when you stop the feed or quit. The screen will blank for about a second when it switches. SDI out - 23.98 / 29.97 / 59.94 stay on the NTSC rate instead of flipping to 24 / 30 / 60. That wrong pick used to skip one frame about every 40 seconds. - On the OFX panel, output delay is one control: setpoint 0, 1, or 2 (2, 3, or 4 frames on the wire). Trim window / trim margin are no longer there; the box measures those itself. - If the output or preview actually skips, the OFX stats show a running count. LUTs - A device only gets the LUT for the grade that feed is using, not every grade.

  23. v0.1.29

Studio: - On the OFX panel you can set two latency controls (setpoint and trim window). Changing them restarts that box’s pipeline for a few seconds. - Local OFX stats show where time is going: GPU vs CPU, and per plugin. - SDI output runs free by default. Genlock is something you turn on, not the default. - Starting the pipeline uses what’s on screen now, not a stale setup. - Pausing and restarting no longer looks like the box stalled. Dashboard: - Cameras found on the network stay listed after you leave Home or reopen scene settings. You don’t have to wait for another discovery pass to see them. - Camera and lens pages open right away instead of hanging while they talk to the broker. - Adding several cameras into a scene is quicker, and removing one still drops its live feed cleanly.

  24. v0.1.28

studio: ofx - implement long-polling for frame retrieval in DeckLink

  25. v0.1.27

Studio: - Feeds can be renamed inline from the feeds modal, and custom names now show on the preview tiles - Picking a new storage location copies your existing project files into it - FXVP devices support an auth token for servers with authentication enabled - A device can only be assigned to one feed; devices already in use are greyed out in the pickers - AJA ColorBox and FS-HDR devices now reconnect automatically after a power cycle, re-applying their setup and LUT (no manual restart needed) - Smoother DeckLink preview playback (eliminated frame pacing judder) - Fixed OFX parameter inputs being reset or committing half-typed values while editing during a refresh

  26. v0.1.26

Studio: - Every feed keeps processing in the background. Effects, capture, and SDI output keep running for all your feeds at the same time. Switching feeds or leaving the studio page no longer interrupts anything; processing only stops when you quit the app. - Each feed has its own effects chain. Edits on one feed never touch another, and coming back to a feed doesn't cause a glitch on its output. - FXVP box health at a glance. The devices modal shows each box's health status live and warns you when a box reports a fault. - Output colour control. You can declare the colour space (primaries/transfer) an FXVP box sends out, right from the effects panel. - Easier device setup. AJA LUT targets are checked as you type, and bulk-adding devices tells you exactly which channel value is wrong instead of just failing. - New effect plugins load without restarting. The refresh button now fully reloads plugins from disk. - Small polish: cleaner feeds strip with no visible scrollbar.

  27. v0.1.25

Studio setup - The setup table is now a spreadsheet: reorderable feeds, inline host and channel cells, and bulk add from a channel range. Devices & LUTs - Devices wake up on connect: the current grade is re-pushed automatically, seeded from the status table at boot. - Push-LUTs button in the devices modal; AJA devices default to the 3DL1 LUT format. SDI output (Blackmagic) - Output frames are scheduled on the card's clock with a primed queue instead of displayed free-run — even frame cadence at 23.98/25 fps, eliminating the beat-frequency stutter against the input clock. - Frames dropped for latency regulation are counted separately in output stats, so clock drift is visible in diagnostics instead of hiding in the frame counter.

  28. v0.1.24

New - Setup modal with a feed/device pairing table and bulk device add - Auto-pair: unassigned devices are paired to open feeds automatically, creating new feeds for any left over - Multi-select nodes in the grade editor with shift-click; bulk delete and enable/disable Changed - Preview always renders the full node chain (node/chain preview mode removed) - License and updater endpoints now point at software.cyanview.com - RCP action floods are coalesced into one apply per batch for smoother external panel control Fixed - Camera indicators in the live feeds strip no longer grey out after editing nodes (device state lost on partial updates) - LUT3D file drops landing on the parent view mid-patch are handled correctly - Feeds strip refresh
